Silicon Nitride Cantilevers

Silicon Nitride cantilevers, having low thickness and high Young modulus, combine very low force constant and respectively high resonance frequency. They are traditionally used for imaging biological objects in liquid medium and similar applications, that need using soft cantilevers. Our silicon nitride probes are compatible with most commercial SPM/AFM instruments.

SNT22

Silicon nitride AFM probes with 14 - 16 um height silicon nitride tips for imaging tall biological objects. Each chip contains 4 Silicon Nitride Cantilevers, Triangular, resonance frequency 10-30 kHz, force constant 0.03 to 0.24 N/m, Tip Radius < 30 nm.

SNS22

Silicon Nitride Sharp AFM probes, which consist of a silicon nitride cantilever with low stiffness and a sharp silicon tip for high quality topography acquisition. Each chip contains 4 levers (2 from each side) with resonance frequencies 17 - 66 kHz, force constants 0.045 - 0.405 N/m and nominal curvature radius 6 nm.
